So, what are we after?

Well a ‘one-person marketing team’ would be amazing! But we know that’s a bit greedy, and likely quite unrealistic.

But on a serious note versatility is the name of the game. Being a small agency it’s all hands on deck to support our clients and each other. We don’t have a team of admin support – so you’ll be doing that yourself: invoicing, project management, preparing timelines, etc. Equally we don’t have loads of levels of hierarchy, so you’ll also have the opportunity to be running (and hopefully winning) pitches, planning or influencing strategic marketing plans for our clients and being involved in the development of creative campaign ideas. Sound like a dream job?

We are particularly looking to strengthen our skill set in digital marketing, marketing, strategic content marketing, analytics, digital insight tools and paid social media.

Sound good? If so, read on…

The agency

We’re a team of researchers, strategists, creatives and developers.

As an agency we take insight and strategy seriously and place it at the heart of all we do. We believe a great brand or creative campaign rests on gaining insight to influence our creative thinking and ensure we are connecting with our audiences.

We’re strong in research, strategy and creative development. We support clients with on-going marketing, but sometimes call on agency partners and freelancers to help support specific offerings. We’d like to bring more digital marketing services in house. So, skills in this area would be hugely advantageous.

We have three sectors that we tend to specialise in – Home & Lifestyle, Professional & Financial Services and Health & Wellbeing.

That’s not to say we don’t have clients who sit outside of these areas. We do. They include tech, manufacturing, learning and more.

Many of our clients have been with us since we started, and we rarely lose clients based on the level of our service. We pride ourselves on this.

  • Strategic marketing
Ideally, you’ll have experience of developing or supporting on the development of integrated strategic marketing. How to take the new brand, creative campaign, website and use it to gain sales, leads and positive brand interactions for our clients.
  • Project management
You’ll be leading on a number of projects so good project management skills are essential. You’ll need to be organised, constantly think ahead, draw on previous experience and keep the client informed. Some campaigns may involve organising and running photoshoots or films shoots so experience of this would be advantageous. We use a number of tools internally to support with project management including Trello and Slack.
  • Business Development
As a small agency we are all involved in business development and marketing for the agency. We use an outsourced team to help generate a pipeline for prospects and meetings. We then support this in house through our own email marketing and social media. You’ll be working on proposals for in-bound leads. Handling initial prospective enquiries and helping to prepare presentations.
  • Presentation Skills
As a creative agency, how we present ourselves is important at all times. Excellent presentation skills would be advantageous. Understanding how to develop proposals in long form to be emailed, versus what is required when presenting face to face. We tend to focus on Google Slides and PowerPoint as our key presentation tools. A working knowledge of InDesign would be useful but not essential.
